Hi fellow senior college students, how are you doing? How’s your undergraduate thesis doing?

Regardless of your major, we all have gone through similar experiences. Those 3-4 years of study, those sleepless nights in order to fulfill assignment deadline, those bittersweet organizational experiences…

College life. It is neither easy nor cheap, but we need it to grow up.

Then, what do you feel when you see these pictures below? Do you feel furious as I did?

Pic 1: By ordering this fake certificate, you will get unique student id, legalized academic transcript, etc. Your fake certificate number will also registered in Ministry of National Education and Culture’s database.

Pic 2: Get a fake certificate of bachelor degree for only Rp3,500,000. (FYI, my tuition fee is Rp2,000,000/semester.)

Pic 3: The seller’s justification goes like this, “I just want to offer a solution for people who have trouble with education. Wrong and right are just some people’s point of views. I believe, my clients just want to survive (in their career).”

Pic 4: List of universities. It doesn’t mean that other universities (including mine) are 100% clear of such practices, though. Maybe this seller’s partners are limited only to those 10 universities.

Pic 6: They take not only fake degree order, but also fake TOEFL certificate order. Now, this is quite a diversification.

Of course, there is no shortcut to success. I agree that education means more than just a paper legitimating your bachelor/master/doctoral degree. I agree that this fraud is nothing but a sad way to get money (seller: through orders; clients: through career advances) in poor countries like Indonesia. This is also an extreme example of laziness and how Indonesians are accustomed to instant culture.

But, for God’s sake, they have websites, contact numbers, list of universities, and even pictures of fake certificates. They’re hell of evidences! Dear law officers, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
